Payroll Assistant
Experienced Payroll Assistant required for a six-month Fixed Term Contract to work within the NWF Group HR team in Wardle.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a varied role to support the processing of three weekly payrolls for the NWF Group accurately and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Support the processing of three weekly payrolls, accurately and efficiently.
2. Assist in some monthly payroll processing and reporting, accurately and efficiently.
3. Assist Managers and Employees with queries both via email and telephone in a timely and professional manner.
4. Collecting, calculating and inputting data.
5. Checking the accuracy of payments and statutory deductions.
6. PAYE/NIC and statutory payments administration.
7. Processing starters and leavers, tax code changes, court orders and up-to-date payroll records.
8. Recording and calculating absence leave and payments.
9. Monitoring and coordinating workplace pension submissions.
10. The processing and administration of Company benefits.
11. Working with the Accounts teams to provide them with the reports they require.
12. Uploading payslips and P45’s into the system.
13. Making BACS payments to HMRC in relation to PAYE.
14. You may also be required to assist the wider team with general administrative tasks.
Skills and Experience:
1. Previous payroll experience is essential.
2. Strong numeracy skills.
3. Keen eye for detail.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
5. Competent in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to prioritize your workload.
8. Enthusiastic team player with a professional and positive attitude.
