Print Finishing Operator - Guillotines
My client based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire is looking for a Finishing Operator mostly working on guillotines. You must have previous experience working within a print finishing department utilizing folders, binders, and guillotines. Role involves shift work of 6am - 1.30pm, 1.30pm - 9pm, Monday. Key Accountabilities:
1. Reduction of machine downtime for make-readies and breakdowns
2. Reduction of running times while ensuring quality, as measured against quoted targets
3. Reduction of waste in respect of reprints as monitored by Reprint Analysis
4. To understand every job and follow lists to ensure all work is completed
5. To finish every job within allocated time scales and to a high quality, ensuring quality file copies are separated and labelled on every job
6. To box and label every job and prepare it for dispatch
7. To implement maintenance tasks to plan
8. To be responsible for general cleanliness of the finishing department as a part of the daily routine
9. To liaise with the Finishing Supervisor to ensure work is completed as required
