General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAVs. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of the latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and stores management systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Production Coordinator to join our team in Hastings, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and coordination of our production projects.
1. Work closely with the shop floor supervisor and master scheduler to meet deadlines
2. Learn to monitor spend through regularly updating ETC's (estimated time to complete) for submission to Programmes.
3. Seek guidance from subject matter experts and advise the team if this creates challenges around quality, cost or delivery
4. Support the daily shop floor workload schedule meeting
5. Support working with engineering teams on a variety of development projects
6. Use an MRP system to raise and release works orders for build and test, to ensure on time delivery.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role we are looking for:
1. A basic understanding of scheduling
2. Good written and verbal communication skills
3. General understanding and experience using Microsoft Office applications
4. Knowledge of spreadsheets along with basic mathematics
5. Ability to work as a team and independently
6. Capable of working on numerous tasks in parallel
7. Eager to learn with the ability to retain new knowledge
8. Eager to develop role and take on more responsibility
Additional Information
This role of Production Coordinator has a starting salary of £27,000 to £30,000 dependant upon experience and an attractive flexible benefits package.
