Providing effective clinical shift allocation and administrative support to the team. This will involve dealing with general queries from colleagues/patients/members of the public, either face to face, over the phone and overseeing administrative systems and processes.
The post holder will provide general co-ordination and allocation of the service/department to ensure the smooth running of the service. This includes maintaining confidentiality, supporting colleagues, and managing the work of others.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will demonstrate excellent clinical and organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.
2. Display and perform high level of clinical expertise in both administrative and clinical role.
3. Assess and review patients in own area of competence and document accordingly.
4. Independently perform holistic Frailty assessments and review manual BP's, ECG's, Phlebotomy, risk assessments (including waterlow, MUST, pain scoring), amending care plans and completing Falls assessments.
5. Provide a high quality confidential and comprehensive administrative and clinical service.
6. Utilise advanced level IT skills to create reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
7. Prioritise own workload on a day-to-day basis to ensure that deadlines are met.
About us
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,258 to a maximum of £2,122 p.a. pro rata for part time).
Job responsibilities
1. To be proficient in using Microsoft office packages and other identified IT systems and support other team members in their use.
2. To record relevant service user documentation contemporaneously on identified IT systems as required- SystmOne.
3. To support completion of service users referrals, record electronically and feedback to team members.
4. To input data onto the service user information management systems to update service user details, and periodically use reports to ensure service user details are correct.
5. Be responsible for updating the electronic service directory on a regular basis, sourcing referral criteria and ensuring accessible to all relevant parties.
6. Ability to independently plan daily visit displaying high levels of clinical accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Complete holistic assessments of patients in Rehabilitation and Frailty Service.
