The David Ross Education Trust is seeking to appoint a Governance Clerk to deliver high quality clerking services to The Barnes Wallis Academy, Tattershall.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our governance team and work flexibly around a calendar of scheduled meetings. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently and organise their own time whilst working to strict deadlines. The role will include providing advice to governors on constitutional and procedural matters and providing effective administrative support under the guidance of our Director of Governance.
About the role
This role will enable you to gain unique insights into how schools are run at a very high strategic level, and how governance drives school improvement. You will be instrumental in making a difference, supporting strong governance of schools which will lead to changing the life chances of every child in our community and beyond. This is particularly relevant for those from the most disadvantaged starting points and those whose progress is stalled by challenging barriers, whatever they might be.
Meetings typically take place up to 6 times per year at 4:30pm. As necessary, the Clerk will also be asked to support exclusion and complaints panels.
