Junior Software Engineer – Full Stack

Job Insight

You will work alongside a small team of developers in creating an array of business applications primary linked to our proprietary technology platform. You will also enjoy keeping abreast on any new technologies and be keen to learn to learn and practice new skills in order to develop the business and effectively service our customers.
Person Specification
You’ll be an aspiring developer with both front end and back-end experience with experience in building platforms. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously and bring new ideas to the table. You’ll have strong experience in designing high-stress software architecture and deploying them with a DevOps mindset on managed services and cloud providers whilst possessing excellent collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• A minimum 2 year software development experience preferential but not essential
• Proficient with SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience in design of software components and data models.
• Experience in Data Development including use of SQL Databases
• Experience In back-end coding and use of Java
• Experience with front end web coding including an understanding of HTML, CSS, Java
• Experience of mobile App coding would be advantageous
• Previous exposure to analytics and reporting suites would be advantageous.
Primary Outputs (Results Orientation)
* Safety – Increased automation of HSEF systems.
* Customer – Increased engagement of the Fusion platform
* People – Increased engagement of the Bright HR platform
* Cost – Increased systems automation and reduction in manual intervention
* Quality – Compliance to systems QMS
Education and experience
* A minimum 2 years in software development or relevant qualification
* Understanding and working knowledge of SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript
* Understanding and working knowledge of Node.js, Vue and Laravel frameworks
* Experience of mobile App coding would be advantageous.
* Previous exposure to analytics and reporting suites would be advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
