The Position Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Financial Accountant based at our Doncaster site. This is a full time, permanent position, working 40 Hours per week. Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements from management accounts and prepared audit file. Assist in the preparation of consolidated accounts. Undertake high level reviews of internally prepared audit supporting workpapers. To be involved in revaluation calculations and capital commitments work. Consolidation package review for group reporting, to include coordination of intercompany reconciliation. Assist in the establishment of a structured internal audit process. Assist in the establishment of a monthly/quarterly consolidation and intercompany reconciliation process. Assist in the adoption of the new FRS102 Section 20 rules for leases. To assist with various elements of central functions: Fixed asset maintenance and transition to new ERP system. Compiling and maintaining insurance renewal information. Maintaining lease information. Treasury and credit card management. Help with the completion of various group tax returns and compliance matters. Any other ad hoc duties/business development projects, as required Requirements The successful candidate will be qualified or studying towards AAT, ACA, CIMA or ACCA (the Company is willing to offer professional development/sponsorship). Good standard of formal education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A - C) or equivalent. You will have a good knowledge of current accounting standards, and experience in the production of management accounts and published financial statements. Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel. Knowledge of Business Central would be advantageous. Previous experience of working within an Accountancy/Finance role/function. This experience could be from Manufacturing or Practise ideally from a fast-paced Multi-company environment. Excellent Interpersonal ability. Have the ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines. Good decision-making skills, assessing situations to determine the importance. Ability to prioritise workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
