A great new opportunity to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Production Planner
Role responsibilities include;
* Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, product lead-time, design and production capacity and inventory levels
* Monitor and manage Work Centre Groups and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands.
* React to changes in demand through expediting and delaying production and purchased goods.
* Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
* Escalate issues with capacity levels preventing client deliveries from being achieved within business lead time
* Ensure lean production sequencing throughout all work centre groups and operations
* Review and manage schedules with production teams, project managers and key personnel.
* Plan and execute supply of externally purchased components in line with production schedules and demand
* Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure optimal resource allocation throughout the production and supply chains
* Implement best practices for production planning and inventory management, analysing production data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues.
* Assist in forecasting demand from sales and translating into manufacturing models to achieve revenue targets
Key skills required;
* Experience of working within Materials & Production Planning
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
* Experience using MRP software
* Strong organisational & problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
This role will be fully office-based Monday - Friday
