Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum for an experienced individual; Circa £50,000+ for someone looking to progress from Project Engineer.

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Engineer, with aspirations to progress into a Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and overseeing electrical infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and an ambition to grow into a more senior managerial position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage various electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
2. Coordinate and liaise with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure effective project execution.
3. Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
4. Monitor and report on project progress against plans and budgets.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
6. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
8. Foster relationships with stakeholders, including DNOs, to ensure successful project outcomes.
9. Prepare for progression to a Project Manager role through mentoring, training, and hands-on experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the electrical or utilities sector.
2. Ambition and potential to progress to a Project Manager role.
3. Experience working with DNOs, preferably UKPN.
4. Familiarity with underground substation and asset replacement works is highly desirable.
5. Relevant engineering qualification (degree or equivalent).
6. Project management certification (such as PMP or PRINCE2) is advantageous.
7. Full UK driving licence.
