Personal Assistant required to support a young lady to live at home. The client is 22 years old and has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, severe learning difficulties, autism and has a gastrostomy.
The client enjoys going out to a day centre, social outings e.g. shopping, zoo etc., watching TV, swimming and sensory sessions.
The client is dependent on those caring for her to anticipate and pre-empt her care needs, to communicate and explain things to reassure.
The client requires 2 PAs/Carers at all times. The posts required are:
Start: ASAP
Permanent - 37 hours per week plus 1 x 6 hour sleep in (Sleep in covers 22:00 – 04:00 then hourly rate from 04:00 – 08:00)
Casual Weekend Cover - 26 hours per weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun to include 2 x 6 hour sleep in)
Client requires supporting with all aspects of her care, including;
Showering/personal hygiene care
Monitoring/recording her health
Administration of medications
Support when out/about in the community (Driving Licence)

A transferable enhanced DBS check is desirable to allow for employment to commence as soon as possible but not essential as one will be provided, but this must be completed and come back clear before employment can start.
