We require enthusiastic, innovative Registered Nurse's to work in our Oncology and Haematology ward (West Bergholt Ward). These posts will be fixed term / secondment to cover maternity leaves and secondments (July, October and November 2025 end dates) You will work within a close working team of nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team supporting a 28 bedded ward caring for patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radioactive treatments. We strive to achieve both continuity and individualized holistic care to the highest possible standard. You will also support with palliative and supportive care for patients nearing end of life. Some Oncology or Haematology experience would be an advantage but is not essential as further training will be provided. Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only. This will need to be discussed with your line manager Provide quality and individualised care to patients, relatives and carers through working as an effective member of the multi-professional team. Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in the absence of direct. Participate in the supervision and development of less experienced staff within the ward. To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice. To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines. To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team. To work within the Trust’s Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ Department Philosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients.
