Housing Support Assistant
£22,528 per annum, pro rata
18 hours per week, 3 Month Fixed Term Contract

About the role:
As a Housing Assistant, you will help older people to live independently in the community and actively network with other agencies to support a person-centred approach and service.
You will join a dedicated team, providing a range of housing-related support services, including:
1. Promoting social activities on the estate and encourage the wider community to use any facilities provided on the estate.
2. Conducting administration-based tasks using systems like excel, word and in-house systems
3. Working in collaboration with the on-site care team to ensure the wellbeing of residents
4. Provide residents with practical support to ensure they are maximising all welfare benefits
5. Work with external agencies and other bodies to ensure that residents receive the support and advice they require.
6. Work with the Location Manager to make daily contact with all residents, either personally or through the emergency call system
7. Work with residents to provide varied social activities on the estate and ensure that all residents are enabled to take part.
About you
As a Housing Support Assistant, you will need to have strong organisation and administration skills, supportive nature and be a superb communicator.
You will be:
8. Highly organised and comfortable planning your own work
9. Familiar with the needs of older people
10. Previous experience in a similar, administrative role would be an advantage
11. Competent with IT systems, which will include outlook, excel, word and inhouse systems.
