Who we are looking for: CHH Conex is looking for a recent fully or nearly-qualified finance professional to join our growing business in a newly created position. As Commercial Finance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Strategy, Finance Director and the general managers to grow the business profitably. You will use data to uncover insights about business trends and performance and support senior managers to make sound commercial decisions. A keen eye for detail and a high degree of accuracy are key attributes, as is adaptability to changing business needs and priorities. Main duties: Responsible for the forecasting, reporting and analysis of sales and margins across all business units, working with the respective general managers. Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly performance reports on sales, bookings and margins. Involvement in sales funnel reviews on new project and contract opportunities, including reporting on funnel health metrics. Analysis of labour efficiencies and material spend to understand trends and variances to plan. Preparation of the monthly KPI and TTI bowlers for the senior leadership teams strategic review meeting, including analysis of gaps to plan. Provide support and cover for the accounts team, for example assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and sales ledger. Support the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes working with the Director of Strategy and Finance Director. Establish and maintain a balanced scorecard of financial, operational, commercial and sustainability related performance metrics. Involvement in market research and analysis activities and tracking of key data. Benchmarking company performance against competitors. Key skills / experience: Fully qualified, or near-qualified, chartered accountant CIMA is preferred. Advanced knowledge & proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets is a key requirement. Experienced and skilled in using SQL and databases is advantageous. Ideally experienced in using Infor, although not essential. Experienced in manipulating, analysing and presenting data to uncover commercial insights. Ability to communicate and influence senior managers.
