DIGITAL DESIGN MANAGER EMEA - HOMEWARE CONSUMER FMCG PRODUCTS
LONDON - HYBRID ROLE
£59k + BONUSES

THE ROLE
The Digital / Graphic Design Manager is an experienced, idea-driven, conceptual thinker who excels at translating design strategy into creative solutions for cohesive experiences in the omni-channel space across the diverse portfolio of the company. Expertise includes: content across direct and indirect eCommerce sites, photography, product detail pages & collateral. Their designers are empowered to research new ideas, visualize concepts and communicate clear design intent through compelling design solutions. This role has the unique ability to operate on a strategic level to develop world-class digital design that resonates with consumers/customers and builds lasting brand equity across their portfolio. The successful candidate will be a proven team contributor with experience in retail, e-commerce or CPG/FMCG direct-to-consumer.
Responsibilities:
1. Execute with high efficiency, the visual articulation (style and tone) of brand strategy, initiatives, objectives and goals through best-in-class design solutions.
2. Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
3. Ability to work well with both speed and simplicity.
4. Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies.
5. Comfortable presenting in front of various audiences and selling creative.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously.
7. Leads brainstorming sessions with design team to generate creative ideas.
8. Effectively present creative concepts to internal teams, with mastery of recommendations and thoughtful rationale.
9. Maintain knowledge of creative marketing trends and best practices.
10. Concept, design and execution of omni-channel assets for digital channels (including website and emails with a mobile-first lens).
11. Evaluate provided creative briefs to ensure information is understood and actionable prior to executing design work.
12. Self-manages execution to brief, recommends design approaches to Manager, Creative.
13. Execute and apply brand style guide elements, including logo, product branding, typography, packaging, photography and activation materials, ensuring consistency with brand positioning. Constructs and documents new brand standards as needed.
14. Prepare final assets according to specific print production guidelines at high levels of accuracy, efficiency and replication.
15. Direct and lead brand and product photo and video shoots (direction, storyboards) with consult of Manager, Creative.
16. Collaborate with peers to share best design practices across the organization.
17. Work with copywriters to seamlessly create supporting graphics that will support different types of product/content experiences.
18. Mentor fellow designers through meaningful critiques and other opportunities to share design knowledge and experience.
19. Make proactive recommendations to streamline & improve creative processes.
EXPERIENCE
1. University degree in graphic design, art or related field.
2. 7+ years of experience in a creative/graphic design position, and/or executing digital commercial assets for eCommerce product images, email, websites, and social media.
3. Experience in the creative development and related executions for a brand.
4. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator; experience in XD and After Effects preferred.
5. Highly detail-oriented.
6. Passionate about design and knowledgeable about the industry, trends, and marketplace.
7. Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills.
8. Strong presentation skills.
9. Ability to understand priorities and juggle projects as needed to meet deadlines.
10. Remains calm under pressure and elevate problems to leadership if necessary.
11. Pragmatic with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
12. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to:
