We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Supervisor to join the team at Healthshare Clinic Norwich. The ideal candidate will be passionate in delivering a great service and finding the best value products to ensure spending stays on track and within budget. The post holder will require understanding of clinical governance including National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and the Good Stock Management guide.
Main duties of the job
* Order and maintain stock to enable clinical activity to continue smoothly, with a target of eliminating waste and over ordering.
* Provide support to the operational and clinical team by gathering and presenting meaningful data, reports and analysis of spend and contract data.
* Hold productive meetings with key team members to ensure all consumables and equipment arrive in a timely manner.
* Suggest innovative solutions to current areas of development and existing processes.
* Ensuring stock rotation and expired products are correctly disposed and logged.
* Adhering to the Medication Management policy and stock control.
* Control of asset register and procurement of new equipment for clinic.

Job responsibilities
The Stock Control Lead will work closely with a range of people from Operational and Clinical teams to suppliers and other Healthshare Sites. Duties include:
* Confirm stock levels are adequate for next two weeks of clinical activity.
* Liaise with Clinical Diagnostics Service Manager, Theatre Manager, Outpatients Manager and Head of Operations each week and ascertain all consumables for the clinic are ordered.
* Stock Control of consumables current lines and adding new lines to spreadsheet including costings, product codes etc.

* Ensuring area is in line with National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
* Stock check 6 monthly, highlighting expiry dates, unused products, damaged stock, and processing these accordingly.
* Providing meaningful data of consumables used, costs, savings etc for each service line in a monthly review presented to the senior leadership team.
* Annual asset register audit. Ensuring all new equipment is asset tagged and logged appropriately.
* Involved with invoicing queries with Management team and finance.
* Explore cost options for acquiring new equipment, presenting findings to Executive Director. Ensuring activities are cost effective.
* Liaising with other sites (Riverside Clinic) for stock transfers or combining large orders.
* Taking responsibility for problem investigation and resolution.
* Attending daily briefings and ensuring effective communications with the Operations Team.
* Any other task in line with role as directed by line manager.

Experience
* Experience of purchasing / ordering in medical setting.
Skills and knowledge
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong understanding of National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness relating to your area.
* Proactively looking for process improvements with a methodical and consistent approach.
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
