SF Recruitment have exclusively partnered with a dynamic and growing Tech business to recruit their first HR professional. This is an exciting opportunity to join a scaling organisation and play a pivotal role in shaping their people operations from the ground up.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in establishing HR functions from scratch and be confident working in an evolving environment and influencing key stakeholders.
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (Part-time applications will also be considered)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, develop, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and alignment with company values.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of an up-to-date staff handbook.
- Lead on employee relations issues, providing expert advice and support to resolve matters effectively.
- Coach and guide managers on people-related issues, fostering strong leadership across the organisation.
- Take full responsibility for the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new talent.
- Evaluate and improve the induction process to ensure new hires are integrated effectively into the business.
- Support the organisation in building a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
What We Are Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience in setting up HR functions from grass roots, ideally within a growing SME.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in managing employee relations and coaching managers.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment processes and induction programmes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable with change and ambiguity.
