We have exciting opportunities for Directors Support Managers with excellent organisational and communication skills and who possesses great stakeholder management, to join our teams in Debt & MI and Digital Channels within Digital Modernisation & Efficiency, and the Strategic Delivery Unit.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Lead Criterion: Experience of providing support services to senior leaders including anticipating issues before they arise and responding to unplanned challenges*.
Experience of building effective relationships including the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Experience of managing conflicting demands and priorities whilst working in a high profile, fast paced environment, ensuring tasks are prioritised in line with strategic objectives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to use varying methods of communication and evidence of summarising key messages and recording and tracking information.
Having had experience of complex diary management and with a proactive approach, you're used to pre-empting situations and using good judgement to resolve issues.
Able to use initiative, particularly when dealing with correspondence and queries.

As Director's Support for a busy and complex area of DWP Digital you will work with the Deputy Director to provide an efficient and consistent service across the Senior Leadership Team.
You'll use your knowledge to instinctively know what the next best step is - whether to action the request, seek advice, set up a meeting or delegate to another team member. Your relationships across your functional area and wider Directors Support community, will help guide your response.
You'll be secretariat for meetings such as Leadership Team meetings, taking responsibility for capturing actions right through to completion.
You'll play a key role in supporting communication within your area - helping to set up key communication channels for your Director, such as weekly team calls and supporting with events. You'll help coordinate key messages and briefings to be delivered at these, by keeping an eye on what's happening across DWP and Digital, and within your functional area.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £38,373
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £10,000 per year.
