We are currently recruiting a Charity Shop Deputy Manager to join this team. You will be joining a highly reputable charity that supports so many people in our region. There is an experienced manager and team of volunteers you will be working alongside. The working hours are 9:00-5:00, working 5 days over 7. You will be working alongside another Deputy Manager so you will generally work alternate weekends. The main purpose of this role is to assist in managing the day to day operation of this charity shop. You will manage a team of volunteers who help to support the running of this shop. We are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience working in the charity retail sector and understands the policies and procedures involved. You will have previous supervisory or management experience and be able to provide the highest customer service. Charity Shop Retail Manager Responsibilities include: Day to day management of the store including a number of staff and volunteers Handling of all items in store, doing accurate valuations and following pricing guidance Ensuring that the shop and window display is presented professionally Recruiting staff and volunteers Completing all financial administration, including cash handling and banking Reviewing weekly figures and work to agreed targets Be a passionate and enthusiastic ambassador for the charity and its work Provide excellent customer service to volunteers, donors and customers alike The successful person for this Charity Shop Deputy Manager role will have worked in a retail role previously, ideally within the retail charity sector and in a team leader or management role or want to progress to this. This would be ideal for someone who has worked as a retail store manager, retail department manager or retail team manager. If you have not worked in the charity sector before but have retail or customer service experience and would like to join a company who really help the community in such a vital cause then this could be the role for you.
