Reporting into the Chef Manager, responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering a quality catering service in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements.
2. Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
3. Minimising wastage when preparing meals and using equipment correctly.
4. Escalating concerns and issues appropriately.
Required knowledge & experience:
* Level 2 food safety certificate.
* Knowledge of health & safety procedures, including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH).
* Previous catering experience with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives & kitchen equipment.
* Experience working with older people.
Required skills:
* Ability to organize time and prioritise activities effectively.
* Able to work under pressure.
* Flexible and able to work both as part of a team and independently.
