The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analysing and interpreting pricing data to support strategic decision-making and pricing strategies. This role involves collecting, processing, and evaluating data to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth and profitability. You will work closely with teams across our business, including global business services, finance, marketing, and sales.
What will you be doing?
The role can be split into four distinct areas - data collection and analysis, reporting and visualisation, financial impact assessment and continuous improvement.
The pricing analyst will gather pricing data from various sources, including sales reports, market research, and competitor analysis and use this to identify patterns, trends and anomalies that impact pricing analysis. They will create detailed reports and data visualisations to communicate findings and recommendations to team members at all levels of the organisation.
This role is responsible for assessing the financial impact of pricing changes on revenue, margin, and profitability. They will perform scenario analysis to evaluate potential outcomes of different pricing strategies and work with partners to align on pricing opportunities.
It will involve a lot of scenario planning, working with large data sets and a large number of SKU's and delivering reporting and trends to commercial leaders, while improving frameworks and guidelines that are in place.
What does success look like?
Success is simply based on how you embed yourself with colleagues and partners across the commercial functions in the SportsMed business. It's also focused on business partnering and effectively managing partners across our function, but doing so in a positive way. It will involve working collaboratively coming to the table with solutions to problems and essentially being the expert in the room who can deliver the information and data required for decision making.
Successful candidates would need the following:
1. Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
2. 4-6 years of relevant work experience in pricing, data analytics, or business intelligence roles. Experience in the medical technology or healthcare sector is advantageous.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sophisticated data sets.
4. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and data visualization software such as Power BI.
5. Python skills are highly desirable.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and financial modelling is a plus.
