Recra are recruiting for a MIG Welder /fabricator welder specialising in architectural and structural steel, the following skills and qualifications may be relevant:
* Welding Expertise: A strong background in MiG (Metal Inert Gas) welding techniques is essential. The welder should be proficient in welding steel structures using MiG welding processes and be able to produce high-quality welds with strong structural integrity.
* Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: A MiG fabricator welder should be skilled in reading and interpreting detailed architectural and structural drawings. This includes understanding welding symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
* Steel Fabrication: Experience in steel fabrication is crucial. The welder should be familiar with handling and manipulating steel components, cutting and shaping steel, and assembling structural elements according to specifications.
* Safety Compliance: A strong commitment to safety practices and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations is vital in this role. The welder must follow all necessary safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safe welding procedures.
* Quality Control: Attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality are essential. The welder should have the ability to inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of their welds and ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
* Teamwork and Communication: Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are important. The welder will often need to coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in the project, as well as work closely with other fabricators and welders.
