As part of an expanding portfolio of products, increasing client footprint and parallel engagements, the Infrastructure and Apps practice we are now seeking to employ a Cloud Op Model Consultant to join the team to assist in pre-sales activity, deliver engagements, developing CSX IP and reusable collateral. ROLE OBJECTIVE: Experienced dealing with ambiguity, the role holder will be a beacon of knowledge for our customers. You will be their trusted advisor with a laser focus on ensuring our clients are successful in their cloud adoption journey. You will be adept at holding court in front of a variety of stakeholders able to listen and assimilate information quickly you will lead our clients in removing noise from conversations and distilling down to the pertinent aspects that will deliver benefits to our clients. The right candidate will take ownership of business, technical and service elements related to cloud operating model inclusive of: Cloud Operating structures & various frameworks available in the marketplace Modern governance frameworks and best practices for Agile operations Interfaces between cloud operations, management, engineering, security, architecture and the broader organisation Devops & Agile practices and implications to operations and service Culture Vs Process implications of faster agile operations MAIN DUTIES: Pre-Sales assistance to scope, plan and size opportunities Client Engagement & Stakeholder management Technical lead on client engagements Mentoring junior consultants Maintaining alignment with Hyperscaler frameworks and best practices where applicable Publish/Present thought leading material KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Essential Skills: This is a specialised Op Model consultant role. We are looking for someone with deep experienced gained over the last ten years managing operations, engineering, and release management teams. We are seeking a unique individual who has the hands-on operations disciplines having grappled with some of the most pertinent challenges to IT Operations over the last 10 years: Demonstrable experience of helping organisations develop CCoE & Cloud Operating Models Cloud migrations Capabilities and capacity build out for organisations adopting cloud Product Management and product-oriented service architecture Toolchain and Pipeline management to deliver continuous integration Monitoring and Alerting design in a fluid and codified platform deployment model Cattle/pets implications to IT Operations Deep knowledge of multi-cloud and how to enable customer success across a multicloud landscape Devops & Modern CI/CD processes Security & Governance models for cloud ops Agile adoption in a waterfall disciplined infrastructure operations team Engineering functions and interfaces to operations teams Driving automation adoption across IT Operations & Engineering Organisational best practices to support/enable infrastructure as code & devops Business interface design for Cloud Operations Service levels and key metrics design for modern IT operations AIOPS Cloud Native Solutions & Impact on Operations Cloud certified architect ITIL and Service Management experience and understanding Experience: At least 10 years' experience of IT Operations, Development at a senior level Deep involvement in the design and successful implementation of Cloud operating models for Public, Private or Hybrid environments Demonstrable experience of building from high level operating model framework to process level including input/output artefacts, process actors, owners, managers, etc., Experience of the typical pitfalls and issues of implementing a cloud function in to a traditional IT organisation Experience of bimodal operating models in enterprise organisations Practical experience of working within Devops and SRE adopting organisations
