As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £11.64 per hour (FTE £22,698.00 per annum)
Contract/duration: Fixed Term Contract until 30 November 2025.
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract.
Hours/working pattern: You will be working an average of 2 days per week, some weekend and bank holiday working is required.
Interview date: 11 March 2025
Potential start date: 19 March 2025
This is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process.

Reporting to the Senior House and Collections Officer you will be part of a small team at Finch Foundry.
A doorway to Dartmoor's industrial past, Finch Foundry provides our visitors with experiences of the sights, sounds and smells of one of the South West's most successful edge tool manufacturers, which at its peak produced up to 400 edge tools a day for the regions farming and mining industry. You can see working water wheels, shears, hammers and griding stone in action and learn about the people who worked here on our guided tours.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand to assign people to tours, provide accessible experiences, answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
