We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grounds Care Workshop Manager to oversee and coordinate activities on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage teams effectively. As the Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop, ensuring the smooth and efficient maintenance and repair of ground care machinery. You will manage a team of skilled technicians, uphold safety standards, and ensure all equipment is serviced to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of servicing and repairs
2. Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and technical expertise
3. Diagnose and repair ground care equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other machinery
4. Implement and maintain health and safety protocols within the workshop
5. Manage stock levels, tools, and workshop resources effectively
6. Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely service delivery
7. Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and service schedules
Requirements:
* Strong ability to manage teams effectively, with excellent interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* A valid driving licence may be required for site visits
* Industry experience
