We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Technician to join our team and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Job Description: The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate systems and checks are in place to ensure components, sub-assemblies, and other manufactured or processed items comply with customer requirements. This role involves establishing inspection and test requirements, verifying compliance, raising and managing non-conformance reports, conducting product and process audits, and liaising with production personnel and suppliers to resolve issues. Key Responsibilities: Establish inspection and test requirements from production cards, quality plans, drawings, specifications, or Quality Engineer instructions. Verify compliance of items with customer requirements using appropriate documentation and measuring/test equipment. Raise and manage internal and supplier non-conformance reports (DARs and CARs). Ensure incidents and discrepancies receive adequate corrective and preventative actions. Conduct required inspections/tests and indicate approval with an inspection stamp. Complete relevant documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports, Calibration Records, NDT records, and ATP History Sheets. Conduct product and process audits. Ensure all inspection equipment is adequately identified, maintained, and calibrated. Liaise with production personnel and suppliers to resolve problems and issues. Essential Experience: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline with 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing role, or 4 years of experience in a QA inspection role. NDT Level 2 MFD/PFD, or experience calibrating measuring equipment, or experience certifying complex products/assemblies to functional acceptance testing criteria. Work experience with recognized international quality standards. Preparation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR). Desirable Skills: Auditing experience. Working experience in the aerospace or similarly regulated industry. Proactive problem-solving techniques. PC skills and knowledge of GD&T.
