Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage a complex clinical caseload with significant autonomy and decision-making responsibility. You will independently perform and interpret a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including gynaecological, general abdominal, small parts, paediatric, and musculoskeletal scans. You will produce detailed interpretative reports, offering differential diagnoses and guidance on future patient management. Additionally, you will provide second opinions to junior staff, actively participate in continuous professional development, and contribute to audit and research projects. Your role will also involve promoting and delivering high-quality ultrasound training to students, sonographers, radiographers, midwives, and registrars, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Qualifications and Experience: • DCR or BSc in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent. • PGDip in Medical Ultrasound or DMU equivalent. • Significant experience at Band 7 level. • Ability to perform and report on various ultrasound examinations. • Experience in gynaecological, abdominal, small parts, paediatric, and musculoskeletal scans. • Strong understanding of ultrasound techniques. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
