We are recruiting for an experienced Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENDCo) to join us in opening a new school for autistic children and young people (opening September 2025).

What will Aspris Ridgeway look like?
* Aspris Ridgeway School will be a centre of autism expertise and excellence, educating up to 60 pupils aged 7-19 with identified autism needs and in receipt of an EHCP.

* A provider of opportunities that engage young people in appropriate learning, so they achieve outstanding progress relative to their starting points.
* A provider of a highly individualised, therapeutic based curriculum which prepares pupils with skills for lifelong learning.
We aim to open initially with Y5 and Y6 pupils. We are therefore looking for outstanding primary teachers to join us on this exciting journey.
Main duties will include:
* Undertaking the role of Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) for all statutory purposes, including Annual Reviews.
* Monitoring the quality of SEN support by establishing effective systems to identify and meet the needs of students, whilst ensuring that the systems are coordinated, implemented, evaluated, and regularly reviewed.
* Ensuring effective systems of communication, including feedback about student’s learning to inform future planning,
* Being accountable for the timetabling of appropriate support and intervention for students with SEN, considering resources and the needs of individuals and updating timetables and provision maps as appropriate throughout the academic year,
* Analysing and tracking student progress using appropriate assessments, data, and records,
* Ensuring that regular meetings are held to evaluate progress of all students with special needs,
* Providing direction, training and support for staff working with students with SEN including ASD, PDA and ADHD.
* Acting as the Designated Teacher for CLA, attending PEPs and CLA reviews throughout the year and recording relevant data in preparation for these meetings.
