The Assistant Project Manager will manage one or more projects or sub-projects, based at the client site in Devon, with travel to Bristol and France for stakeholder meetings. The roleholder will coordinate and assist with the project management lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on spec, and within budget, aiming for client satisfaction. The role supports improvements in project management processes, reporting, and setup assistance during various project phases. Key responsibilities: Attend periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the SharePoint files and project reporting information as required Maintain accurate project records Prepare internal and external reports and liaise with stakeholders. Provide minutes for meetings and complete project administrative tasks and manage project management documents, such as the project plan, SHESQ documentation and schedule statement. Support the Project Manager with administration of contract management including early warning notifications and scope changes. Support the close out of Site Management Tour and Safety Observation actions. Assist with accident and incident investigations Develop and implement resource allocation plans, raise appropriate requests on behalf of the Project Manger. Support training requests and oversee inductions and competency renewals. Lead risk and opportunity reviews. Follow up on actions from IRIS with owners. Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority Manage subcontractors and ensure contractual arrangements are met. Undertake assurance activities and follow up on audit findings. Promote consistency and reliability of digital data for project delivery. Key requirements: Holds or working towards a formal further education qualification in business or project management/construction or has equivalent experience. Experience of working in a similar role Experience in project management lifecycle process Proficient in commercial/project management communications Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation Able to undertake work in high pressure situations with a flexible attitude. Demonstrable solutions-based approach to problem solving Experience working on a variety of project types Proficient on Office 365 Holds a current driving license
