Are you a fun-loving, charismatic, and young at heart singing teacher who loves to make children feel like rockstars? Anthem Music School wants you to join our team of teachers!
We offer small group music lessons to both kids and adults and we are seeking a creative and passionate singing teacher with a pop/rock/musical theatre focus who can work well with children teaching our 'Mini Musicians' class for 3-4 year olds and singing lessons from age 5 upwards.
Our 'Mini Musicians' class is an introduction to music through singing, rhythm and musical activities. Lesson plans and resources are provided for the teacher to use.
The schedule of teaching available is currently:
Fridays 4-7pm (with view to grow to 4-8/9pm - or as late/early as you'd like to grow to)
Lessons are scheduled for 48 weeks of the year providing a reliable and steady income for the right teacher. The ideal candidate should be willing to grow their timetable to increase the amount of teaching hours per week.
At Anthem Music School, we believe that music lessons should be fun and engaging for younger learners. That's why we are looking for someone who can plan exciting lessons for children and incorporate games into their teaching. As part of our mission, we want to make our students feel like rockstars and inspire them to become lifelong musicians.
The main tasks of this role include teaching small groups (max of 4 in a class), preparing for lessons, and printing/providing music for students to use in class. You may also be responsible for opening up and locking up the teaching rooms and building, writing brief weekly lesson notes, setting practice homework and encouraging students to get involved in our performance opportunities.
The ideal candidate should possess a fun and professional approach, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational and time management skills. We also value initiative, tenacity, and a positive approach to change. A passion for educating children and adults is a must!
Qualifications for this role include a degree level in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology (desirable) and grade 8 level in vocals (desirable). Previous teaching experience is also desirable, but additional training can be provided.
As a teacher at Anthem Music School, you must be customer service focused, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. You should be confident in teaching both children and adults in a way that is easy for people of all ages to understand.
