Job Overview

The Head of Communities and Nature will be at the heart of an inspiring vision for a nature-rich landscape that will make a lasting difference for people, place, and planet.
Key Responsibilities
1. Report to the Rural Director and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and partners across the Duchy of Cornwall’s Dartmoor Estate.
2. Engage with local farmers, businesses, Dartmoor National Park Authority, the Ministry of Defence, the South West Peatland Partnership, and others.
3. Run a local team and work closely with colleagues across the Duchy on sustainability, building surveying, and finance.
4. Drive the Duchy’s response to the Dartmoor Vision.
5. Deliver and implement the Duchy’s ambition for a Nature Rich and Net Zero Estate on Dartmoor.
6. Drive peatland restoration, manage budgets and KPIs, and foster strong community relations through the development of a place strategy for Princetown.

You will be a visionary leader, a collaborator, and a strategic thinker, with a deep passion for community engagement and sustainable development, as well as experience in rural land management and nature conservation projects.
