Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the ongoing operational efficiency and reliability of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires a solid foundation in electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular maintenance, inspections and repairs on machinery, equipment and facilities.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical & Plc control issues to determine appropriate solutions.
* Collaborate with the production team to address urgent maintenance requirements and minimize downtime.
* Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and extend the lifespan of equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work done, parts used, and time spent.
* Adhere to safety protocols and company standards at all times.
Requirements of a Maintenance Technician:
* Electrical qualifications to a City & Guilds or NVQ standard.
* Completion of a recognised apprenticeship programme.
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a Heavy Engineering, Process, Production or Manufacturing Environment.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Effective communication skills to report maintenance updates.
