One of our successful house building clients are currently looking for a Technical Manager join their experienced and highly skilled Technical team.
The role will see you be based out of their Beaconsfield office and work on multiple high spec projects located across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
In this role, you will be expected to:
* Work in collaboration with the Land, Planning, Building and Sales departments.
* Ensure Consultants are appointed to prepare all relevant drawings, reports, documents and submissions in sufficient time to meet the agreed programme following approval by the Head of Technical.
* Provide analysis of Consultant’s and Service Company Utility providers quotations for Head of Technical approval.
* Ensure the effective co-ordination of planning, Design Freeze and working drawings ensuring that discrepancies are reported and any deviations subsequently agreed.
* Check all drawings and suppliers proposals are correct. Ensure proposals/details are practical and economic. Form recommendations for improvements which will result in cost/time reductions.
* Prepare and submit planning information for the discharge of Planning conditions.
* Organise the approval of specialist proposals through Consultants. Maintain an accurate schedule of these approvals.
* Ensure clearance of Building Regulations and other relevant conditions.
* Prepare and update specifications in association with the Sales and Commercial departments and the Company’s standard forms of Specification.
* Resolve design and building problems liaising with all relevant personnel and consultants and attending site as required. To be administered via our Request for Information system.
* Prepare thorough Technical Reports for presentation at Project Review meetings.
* Ensure Party Wall surveyors are appointed and managed where required.
