The Product Analytics and Experimentation team sits within the Data & Analytics directorate in the Technology department. While specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities: Collaborate with Product Managers, Optimisation Managers, and Digital Analysts to conduct AB tests, and provide analysis of results to deliver actionable recommendations that can be applied to improve our digital products and the customer experience. Perform analyses of customer behaviour within experimentation using a variety of data sources and tools (SQL Hive / Spark, Python, Alteryx, Adobe Analytics) and present insights in a simple and engaging way to a range of audiences including Product, UX, and Engineering. Ensure the reliability of our test results by applying appropriate statistical testing methods to our test data. Work closely with the Analytics Capabilities and Digital Analytics teams to ensure tracking and means of measurement is in place for our AB tests. Work with the finance team to forecast accurate and representative financial benefits. Learn new analytics techniques and tools rapidly with the support of the Senior Analysts and put these skills into practice. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate experience of: Experience of manipulating and analysing data from multiple sources to generate insights using big data, business intelligence, and data visualisation tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you must be able to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience of different backgrounds and data literacy. Knowledge of AB testing methodology and/or an understanding of the value of optimisation. Knowledge in Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics and/or SQL Personal Being a self-starter; motivated to deliver high quality work through planning and adapting to change. Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership. Ability to demonstrate strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and disciplines within the organisation.
