The FAW has three National Training Centres: its Elite Centre and HQ at the Vale Resort; and two National Development Centres at Dragon Park in Newport and Colliers Park in Wrexham. The National Football Development Centre at Dragon Park is a unique football hub in a prime location which was opened as an FAW centre in 2019. We are looking to recruit a team of casual staff who will support on site at Dragon Park to ensure all users of the site are welcome and all queries are dealt with. The Receptionist/Facility Assistant will also be responsible, as part of the facilities team, for the smooth day to day operation of the site including covering evenings and weekends. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY Reception duties Building strong relationships with staff and external stakeholders who use Dragon Park Answering incoming calls and redirecting to relevant department Providing customer support when able or redirecting to relevant department Greeting visitors as they arrive and connecting them with the appropriate party Keeping the front of house area tidy and organised, including the reception area, kitchen and meeting rooms Opening & Closing Reception Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness Facility Management – working closely with the Operational Supervisor in a number of areas including: Assisting with the day to day operational functionality of the office and facility including monitoring condition and upkeep of the building. Assisting in opening and closing of facilities. Set up for conference and meetin g room bookings Assist in the set up and close down of pitches Managing external queries for meeting room booking Open and close the building where required Monitoring stock levels for the site and ordering where required. Administration Any other administration or facilities support as directed by the Head of National Training Centres. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications/Experience Experience of working in a sporting/leisure environment Basic facilities or H&S management experience (desirable) Keen interest in sports and leisure Knowledge Exceptional customer service skills A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work independently Ability to multi-task and good organisational skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS This role will require unsocial working hours, on evenings and weekends.
