They specialise in supporting the placements of healthcare professionals for numerous clients globally. The firm are now looking to recruit a talented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. Role The Assistant Accountant for this healthcare recruitment consultancy based in City of London, will report into the Financial Controller and work closely with the Management Accountant. They will take on a variety of key duties including: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. Allocate relevant cash across multiple platforms to maintain accurate records for cashflow management. Upload sales invoices into Xero, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner. Review and verify staff expense claims. Assist in updating the company cash flow forecast. Process supplier invoices and match purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies. Assist with weekly and monthly supplier payment runs. Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Respond to client and supplier queries, providing accurate information to resolve issues. Profile The ideal profile for this Assistant Accountant position based in City of London, should have the following attributes: 3 years of experience in a similar Accounts Assistant position AAT qualified or actively finalising AAT studies (Level 3/4) Experience using Xero Strong technical experience with Accounts Payable/Receivable processes. Confident with Microsoft Excel Salary & Benefits £35,000 to £40,000 plus benefits including: Study support package (post probation) Pension scheme 25 days holiday bank holidays Staff discount portals 9-5:30pm Full-time in office (during probation, then 4 days) The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
