Championship Executive - (Events)
Location: Hybrid, Based at Virginia Water, Surrey.
The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations, responsible for running the world-famous DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Challenge Tour, and G4D Tour (golf for the disabled). We also organise the Ryder Cup, golf’s greatest team contest, alongside the PGA of America.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Championship Management and event teams to plan, project manage, and deliver European tour-owned events.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Assist the Championship Management team with research, reporting, and tender/RFP preparation before, during, and after events.
2. Communicate with suppliers and host venues, plan event builds, and manage documents.
3. Provide administrative support to the event team and offer on-site support to the core Championship Management team, including checking in contractors and implementing site management plans.
4. Assist with day-to-day event operations and manage the logistics and maintenance of tour-owned equipment and storage.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who can build strong relationships at all levels. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Teams). While a degree in a sports-related area is typically preferred, it is not a strict requirement. You should be a flexible, collaborative, and personable team player with the ability to multi-task and an interest in developing strong project management skills. Commercial awareness, numeracy, good negotiation skills, and attention to detail are essential. Due to the international nature of our tournaments, additional language skills would be beneficial.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires travel to UK and overseas tournaments, with up to 4 weeks away at any one time. Be prepared for early starts, weekend, and evening work.
