Onsite IT Technical Support Analyst
Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Overview
NTT DATA Services currently seeks an IT Support Analyst to join their team working onsite with a major client based in Rotherham. The Engineer is responsible for the technical support of hardware and software across the sites for all hardware and software Incidents and requests for end-user computing support (including desktops, laptops, mobile and printers). This role combines good level technical skills with an emphasis on the delivery of a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
Responsible for on-site and/or remote installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
1. Reviews, troubleshoots and approves operational quality of desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals.
2. Installs, maintains and optimizes desktop/notebook configurations at customer sites.
3. Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
4. Performs maintenance and repair services.
5. Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance.
6. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
Experience:
Proficient in Windows operating system environment.
Break Fix IT Support, Desk Side Support and Install, Move, Add Change (IMAC).
Strong customer interaction skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good knowledge of Diagnosis tools and processes.
A+ desktop or equivalent skill set is required; additional certifications for various hardware platforms may be required.
Desirable
Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems may be required.
