We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist software consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to some exciting growth within our Defence business, we are interested in speaking with an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join one of our live projects within our Defence Team.
Role Location:
You can work from any of our 6 offices in the UK (including Bristol, Cheltenham & London) or from home, you decide. The role will however require you to be 2-3 days per week onsite at Corsham on customer site.
The Opportunity:
As an experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be working within our Defence team, working on a new large technology refresh project for one of our Defence customers. You will take a leading role in the delivery team, from early involvement in the creation of Architecture, to the design and development of innovative cloud solutions through to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines. Typical responsibilities include:
* Designing and implementing scalable infrastructure architectures for the projects Cloud / DevSecOps requirements.
* Managing the secure development, test, deployment, release operate and monitoring of software products.
* Designing and operating automated CICD pipelines.
* Designing and operating shared Platform services for Deployment, Operation and Monitoring.
* Designing and Operating Platform services for containerised products using Kubernetes.
* Write and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
* Deploy and operate products in public and private cloud environments (AWS, Azure, On-Prem).
* Supporting and advising teams as they onboard products to shared platform services.
* Ensuring best practice Agile methodologies (including SCRUM & Kanban) are implemented and followed.
* Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems.
* Managing relationships with our customers.
* Ensuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an ever-changing technology landscape.
* Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required.

For our current requirement, we are looking for someone with:
* Experience delivering Enterprise level IT projects within the Defence Sector.
* Experience leading the application of DevSecOps principles to complex projects.
* Experience working with cloud solutions, primarily AWS or Azure.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills able to manage senior defence customer relationships and able to handle difficult situations / resolve conflict.
Due to the industries we work in, we require the successful candidate to be able to obtain high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
