Job Title: Compliance Officer – Health and Safety Who You Are You are a knowledgeable and experienced individual in the field of health and safety compliance, ideally with a degree or equivalent qualifications in Health and Safety. You are a member, or working towards membership, of IOSH and possess extensive knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation. You combine practical health and safety skills with excellent communication abilities, ready to provide strategic advice and develop safety strategies. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, you are prepared to tackle complex issues, balancing risk and cost, and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment. What the Job Involves The role of Compliance Officer focuses on ensuring organizational compliance with health and safety legislation. Working closely with managers and supervisors, you will provide competent advice, conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and deliver targeted training. Your duties include developing safety policies, liaising with health and safety regulatory bodies, and supporting the implementation of safety plans and initiatives. You'll manage sensitive data, record incidents, and uphold safety standards to mitigate risks across the organization. Flexibility to travel and adapt to changing priorities is essential, as you engage in both proactive and reactive health and safety measures.
