Salary : £40,600 - £58,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction
We are looking for a HR Specialist to lead a team consisting of Senior & HR Advisors. Responsible for managing, leading and delivering employee relations support; bringing evidence-based practice into the organisation and addressing the people challenges for their area of expertise.
Main Responsibilities
As a HR Specialist, you’ll lead a team of Senior & HR Advisors to undertake advisory support to managers across the business on a range of employee relations activities. Whilst leading a team you will be dealing with case escalations on a range of employee relations cases including performance & capability, grievance, disciplinary, health & attendance cases, often complex and of a sensitive nature.
The successful candidate will also;
1. ensure self and team resources are following clearly defined processes delivering answers to queries and services in line with defined SLAs
2. ensure collaboration across Specialist Teams/Service Centre to deliver services and promote a culture of continuous improvement
3. raise and review repeated problems or issues and set plans and resources to resolve them; or set out proposals and options to improve
4. support projects being delivered by BBC People, ensuring team resources are correctly managed
5. work in partnership to improve the customer experience through the analysis of case load, identifying trends and undertaking improvement action
6. provide intelligent reporting to support and maximise business performance
7. work with leaders across the BBC HR to deliver and improve SLAs and thereby demonstrating added value to the business
8. foster a culture of service excellence, role-modelling this and coaching team to deliver customer care
Are you the right Candidate?
9. You will have previous experience leading a demanding, high volume team in a HR generalist or ER setting
10. Experience of advising and supporting on a range of complex employee relations topics in the workplace
11. You’re a great listener and communicator who can build relationships at all levels of the business
12. You will be confident working in a fast-paced and complex environment
13. You’re confident working autonomously and at pace
14. You’re proactive and able to take the initiative with problem solving
Desirable
15. Prior experience of working in a centralised or specialist team
16. Prior experience of working with People systems/case management systems
