The AccountsAssistant/SemiSenior will be responsible for providing a range ofaccounting services to clients including preparing accounts taxreturns and management reports. The ideal candidate will possess astrong understanding of accounting principles and be capable ofworking independently as well as part of ateam.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Preparationof financial statements for sole traders partnerships and limitedcompanies.
* Assistin the preparation of management accounts andreports.
* CompleteVAT returns and liaise with HMRC on behalf ofclients.
* Handlebookkeeping duties including processing invoices receipts andpayments.
* Supportthe preparation of personal and corporate taxreturns.
* Conductaccount reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financialdata.
* Provideassistance during audits and liaise with auditors asrequired.
* Maintainand update accounting records and clientfiles.
* Communicateeffectively with clients to address their queries and provideexceptionalservice.
* Assistwith adhoc projects and tasks as required by thefirm.
Requirements
1. AATqualified or partqualified ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) isdesirable.
2. Provenexperience in an accounting role within a practiceenvironment.
3. Strongknowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage QuickBooksXero).
4. Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite particularlyExcel.
5. Excellentnumerical and analyticalskills.
6. Strongattention to detail and a high level ofaccuracy.
7. Abilityto manage multiple tasks and meetdeadlines.
8. Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
9. Aproactive approach to problemsolving and the ability to workindependently.

For this fantastic Semi Senior opportunity in Wokingham, you may bean AAT studying, and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to buildfurther on your experience following qualifying AAT, with abackground in accountancy practice, with at least 2 - 4 years ormore experience within practice, preparing accounts, tax and otherresponsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders,partnerships and limited companies.
