Solutions30 have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Energy & Power Networks team. As an Electrical Project Engineer you will play a vital role in overseeing our private sector commercial and local authority AC & DC EV charging installations.
As our Electrical Project Engineer you would also be responsible for:
Site surveys and generating reports using our platform.
Consulting with client stakeholders & Project Managers throughout the lifecycle, from pre-start meetings to handover.
Supervision of on-site teams working on EV & Power projects (including civil works, new grid connections (ICP), LV electrical installation, surface reinstatements, surface painting and landscaping) ensuring progression is in line with the project programme, and client timescales are met.
Conducting site inductions, safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety audits when required, to ensure that all work sites meet the Solutions30 standard and are in line with applicable legislation.
Installation of EV charging equipment as the designated OEM trained person (OEM training will be provided) to ensure strict compliance with the equipment manufacturers requirements and applicable regulations.
Managing work permits and ensure all subcontractors under your supervision are competent, fully trained, and compliant.
Collaborating with Delivery teams during the planning phase in preparation for the delivery phase, ensuring the required allocated resources are suitable.
Post completion quality assurance inspections and generating reports.
Reviewing corrective actions/improvement actions raised with the project management team against the scope of works, then implementing the identified corrective actions.
Overseeing and assisting with the commissioning of EVSE and the handover of sites.
Conducting desktop quality assurance inspections.
We would welcome applications from individuals with the following expertise:
Level 3 C&G or EAL electrical craft qualification.
EV charging or renewable energy installation experience.
2+ years of experience of the supervision of multi-discipline teams.
18th edition 2382.
ECS or CSCS card.
Understanding of CDM and site H&S requirements with a commitment to safety and quality throughout everything you do.
A valid full UK driving licence.
The below skills & qualifications would be highly desirable:
C&G 2921 EVC Installations qualification (or EAL equivalent).
C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or EAL equivalent).
DC EVSE knowledge and OEM training / accreditation.
A good understanding of new connections and DNO / IDNO / ICP processes.
NRSWA Supervisor accreditation with good knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act.
Good knowledge of civils and associated works.
SMSTS.

Location: Field Based - Sites across West Sussex with occasional attendance to office in Watford.
