As Train Manager at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team that ensures the smooth operation of our train while providing passengers with a world-class travel experience. In this role, you are responsible for the service delivery on board and the day-to-day management of resources required to deliver optimum service both on the train and at excursion destinations. Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Providing exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
* In conjunction with the Deputy Train Manager, overseeing all aspects of the train’s operations, including scheduling, staff management and logistics to ensure a seamless and punctual journey.
* Recruiting, training and managing a team of service professionals, ensuring that they deliver the service standards required.
* Conducting formal team assessments on a regular basis to ensure the achievement of excellence in all KPIs and metrics.
* Ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew and the train itself. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* Ensuring the train, including cabins and public areas, is maintained in impeccable condition.
Requirements
What You Bring:
* Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
* 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
* A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field is preferred.
* Proven leadership ability and experience in handling, coordinating and motivating different teams.
* The ability to handle unexpected challenges and find creative solutions in a high-end service environment.
