Job Description: Location: East Midlands (Derby, Nottingham, Leicester) Clearance: SC Cleared, UK National (No Dual Nationality) Working Arrangements: 3 days per week on-site We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team, supporting critical database environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle DBA, with expertise ranging from Oracle 11g through to 18c, along with rman and RAC experience. SQL Server and MariaDB knowledge is an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily checks and resolve BAU (Business as Usual) issues. Execute ad hoc backup and recovery tasks using RMAN/expdp/impdp. Provide BAU support for ECO system partners and project teams. Support incident, problem, and change management within an ITIL framework. Work with scripting (ksh and/or PowerShell for SQL Server) to automate and optimize tasks. Required Skills and Experience: Oracle DBA Experience: 2 years working with Oracle/RAC, specifically with 11g, 12c, 19c. Backup & Recovery: Strong knowledge of RMAN, and experience with expdp/impdp for backup and recovery processes. Linux: Solid experience with Linux-based environments. Scripting: Familiarity with ksh scripting for Oracle and PowerShell for SQL Server. ITIL Framework: Experience working within an ITIL environment, handling incidents, problems, and change requests. SQL Server/MariaDB: Experience with SQL Server and MariaDB is a bonus. Additional Requirements: Must hold active SC clearance (no dual nationality).
