Key Responsibilities : Virtualization Management : Implement and manage VMware virtualization infrastructure to support IT requirements effectively. Network Security : Configure and maintain WatchGuard/SonicWall firewalls to ensure secure network compliance. VPN Configuration : Set up and manage VPNs to provide secure access for branch offices and remote employees. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams to assess infrastructure needs and implement tailored solutions. Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and best practices. Cloud Administration : Administer O365, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and other cloud services. System Maintenance : Oversee maintenance of Windows Servers, desktops, and laptops. Out-of-Hours Support : Provide occasional out-of-hours support for urgent issues. User Support : Resolve IT support requests promptly and effectively. Training and Development : Conduct training sessions to enhance end-user skills. Performance Monitoring : Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure. Security Implementation : Develop and implement security measures to protect data and ensure compliance. Disaster Recovery Planning : Create and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Networking Expertise : Maintain strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, and switching. Skills and Attributes : Experience : Minimum of 6 years in customer-facing IT support, with a proven track record as an Infrastructure Engineer. Education : Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience. Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of operating systems, virtualization technologies, and networking protocols. Soft Skills : Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a collaborative mindset.
