Job Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth through acquiring new business, nurturing client relationships, and expanding our presence in the Glasgow area and beyond. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities, propose tailored solutions, and build a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to meet revenue and customer acquisition targets.
* Client Acquisition: Identify, approach, and secure new business clients
* Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to ensure satisfaction, long-term partnerships, and increased revenue through upselling.
* Solution Sales: Understand client needs and propose customized telecom solutions, demonstrating how our services can solve business challenges.
* Market Analysis: Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regional market demands to adjust business development strategies.
* Collaboration: Work with the Marketing team to develop lead generation campaigns, and coordinate with Technical and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and update CRM regularly to provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within the telecom industry or a closely related field.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of telecom solutions, such as cloud-based telephony, unified communications, and network connectivity.
* Skills:
* Sales & Negotiation: Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets and adept at handling negotiations.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
* Analytical Ability: Capable of analysing client needs, understanding market trends, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
* Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple client accounts effectively.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
