Cook/Chef – 40 hours per week, 4 days per week, including alternate weekends (7am-5pm).
Are you a passionate cook who loves preparing nutritious and delicious meals? We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Cornerways. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to our residents in a warm and friendly environment.
A bit about the role:
Our lovely residents deserve the very best and that includes tasty, nutritious, and comforting meals made with care.
* Plan and prepare and cook balanced, home-cooked meals tailored to resident’s dietary needs
* Ensure meals are presented well and served on time
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and nutritional guidelines
* Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen
* Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure resident’s needs are met
What we’re looking for:
* An experience passionate Cook
* Knowledge of food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, diabetic-friendly meals) – or a willingness to learn
* Ability to work efficiently and independently
* A caring and compassionate attitude
* Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* A warm, friendly personality and a good sense of humour – it helps in a busy kitchen!
