The West London NHS Trust is recruiting a Project Manager to join its Major Capital Projects Team.
Job Overview
The Major Capital Projects Team is responsible for the overall programme delivery of the Trust’s projects. The Team comprises dedicated industry and NHS professionals who manage all aspects of project management from business case planning through to completion of works and managing all aspects of stakeholder engagement, governance, design, procurement, cost management, contracts, and construction.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with in-depth knowledge of construction and building regulations, standards, and legislation, ideally within a healthcare setting and familiar with NHS capital project frameworks. The post holder must have strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health and safety practices, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. They will be involved in multiple high-value projects.
Main Duties of the Job
The Project Manager will play a vital role in delivering modern facilities which will help to promote effective care for patients.
We are recruiting a Project Manager who will manage a £5M programme of refurbishment works at our Hammersmith & Fulham Mental Health Unit.
The post holder will provide leadership for the successful completion of the project on time and on budget. They will coordinate and lead all stages of design and construction and engage design consultants, Trust stakeholders, contractors, and relevant statutory bodies.
This position requires proven experience in project, cost, contract, and programme management. Key personal skills will include effective planning, communication, and negotiation skills, high motivation, and the ability to be a team player.

* Degree/Professional qualification or equivalent experience
* DMS or MBA or progression towards qualification

Experience
* Minimum 3 years capital project management experience.
* Expertise in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple clients.
* Experience in managing staff.
* Project planning and management.
* Experience in managing capital schemes within NHS or Local Authority.
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of CDM and H&S regulations.
* Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
* Contract Law (construction).
