Functional Skill Tutor Permanent 42 hours per week/40 weeks per year £28,960.68 - £39,045.72 St Piers College is seeking a passionate and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join our dedicated team As a Functional Skills Tutor, you'll play a vital role in creating inspiring learning opportunities for young people with a range of abilities, empowering them to become successful and valued members of their community. Your Impact: Deliver and teach functional skills within our Special Educational Needs (SEN) programme. Incorporate independence, community inclusion, employment, health, and wellbeing into the wider curriculum. Deliver accredited functional skills courses within the college qualification framework. Collaborate with Personal Tutors, sharing resources and expertise. Research and organise continuing professional development opportunities. Attend training to deliver a broad and engaging functional skills programme. Undertake assessments of potential and existing students. Organise and contribute to functional skills workshops and training, both on and off-campus. Establish links with external agencies and other colleges. What you need: A Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent post-16 qualification, or a teaching qualification with relevant specialism. Experience in planning and delivering learning to post-16 students in a similar SEN environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. A flexible approach to work.
