Rate: £350-£385/day negotiable (CIS preferred)

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to serve as a Resident Engineer for a critical construction project in the water industry, located in Newark. This role requires full-time, on-site presence until the project's completion. While the primary location is Newark, any need to attend different sites will be minimal.
Project Scope: The project involves constructing two in-situ concrete settlement tanks (9m diameter each), installation of below-ground pipework, ducts/drawpits, pump slabs, and manhole chambers, all within the water industry sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* On-site Management: Oversee and drive the performance of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards within the water industry.
* Autonomous Supervision: Work independently, interpreting construction drawings, and providing direction to contracting teams on-site.
* Communication: Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including subcontractors and project management teams.
* Technical Facilitation: Assist in the facilitation of contracting teams, ensuring that all project requirements are met.
* IT Proficiency: Utilize relevant IT tools to manage and track project progress.
Qualifications:
* SMSTS
* CSCS
* First Aid
Skills:
* Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple subcontractors.
* Adequate IT skills for managing project documentation and communications.
